Canada Post honours Year of Glenn Gould
Commemorative Envelope to be issued in September

Canada Post is pleased to announce the release of a Commemorative Envelope featuring world renowned pianist Glenn Gould. To be released on September 10, 2007, this Commemorative Envelope will honour the genius of one of Canada’s great musicians and celebrate the 75th anniversary of his birth.

The September 10th launch in Gatineau, Quebec falls shortly before the exhibit “Glenn Gould: The Sounds of a Genius” is set to open at the Canadian Museum of Civilization.

In 1999, Canada Post released a stamp commemorating Glenn Gould's Variations.
